Immerse your senses in Spain and Latin America’s passion for food, dance, music and decorative arts as the Queen Victoria Market hosts the 5^th Annual ‘La Plaza de Mercado’ festival on Sunday, 19^th April.

 Showcasing Melbourne’s contemporary Latin American and Spanish music, this year’s programme will feature new interpretations of the traditional rhythms of salsa, meringue, samba, and bossa nova.  The line-up will also include fiery performances by leading tango, flamenco and samba dancers.

Taste authentic flavours at a wide variety of speciality market stalls preparing typical dishes from the twenty-two different Spanish speaking countries and browse the treasures of the traditional arts and crafts.   

We invite all Melbournians to come and enjoy the day.  Sample sizzling paella, dance a sumptuous samba or relax with a refreshing cerveza in our courtyard bar.  Don’t miss the transformation of the Queen Victorian market into a vibrant and colourful community celebration!
